Discovering Magical Mexico

Mexico is a colorful country that attracts many travelers looking for an exciting vacation that might include festivals, tequila and some fun in the sun.

Mexican culture is full of color and it is splashed on buildings, fashion, food, and everything else in between. A vacation in Mexico is for adventurous souls who appreciate a vibrant culture, history, nature and fun experiences. Throw in a dash of luxury and hot Mexican sauce and you have all the ingredients for a pretty epic holiday.

You can’t beat cocktails in Cancun if you love the beach life. Cancun is full of high-class beachfront resorts, and there are plenty of urban entertainment options, including bars, shops, restaurants, cafes and spas. Water sports such as diving and snorkeling are blissful in the warm blue waters. Other idyllic beach destinations are Acapulco, Isla Holbox, Playa Mazunte and Tulum.

Mexico City is the vibrant capital with so gorgeous historical and cultural sights to visit.

The Zócalo or Plaza de la Constitución is a massive square where you can see Templo Mayor (a stunning 13th-century Aztec temple) and the National Palace. Also, don’t miss The Metropolitan Cathedral (officially The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven). It is the biggest and oldest cathedral in Latin America and an important place of worship for Mexicans.

Art lovers will be making a beeline to The Frida Kahlo Museum, which was formerly the famous artist’s home. There are more museums in Mexico than any other city globally, so you probably should make a list of the ones you want to cover. There is even a museum dedicated to tequila’s history and they will kindly serve you a shot while you are there.

One of the seven wonders of the world can be experienced in Mexico at the marvelous ruins of Chichén Itzá. Your holiday album will include photos of imposing pyramids, temples, stone structures, and Mayan culture.

Festivals and fiestas in Mexico are bright and colorful and the calendar is packed, including music, religion, culture, film, hot air balloon, food and dance festivals, to name a few. The Day Of The Dead celebration is famous, and many travelers time their trip to catch this festival, which honors loved ones who have passed away.

Food, glorious food. In Mexico, food is hot, spicy and tasty. As well as your favorite burritos, ceviche and enchiladas, you will be exposed to an array of new dishes sure to win over your taste buds. If it all gets too spicy for you, cool margaritas are often on the menu naturally!
